San Francisco Police Arrest Suspect In Fatal 2007 Hit And Run

San Francisco Police arrested the suspect in a hit and run pedestrian collision that occurred on August 18, 2007. Taken into custody July 17 in San Francisco on an arrest warrant was Jonathan Pagmanua, 26, of Daly City. In that incident, the victim, a 27-year-old lieutenant of the Canadian Navy was struck and killed by a driver of a Mercedes-Benz at the intersection of The Embarcadero and Howard Street shortly before 2:00 A.M.  The driver continued driving after hitting the victim.

San Francisco Inspectors and Daly City Police also served search warrants on Pagmanua’s residence.  Police seized Pagmanua’s car, a 1988 Mercedes-Benz, located near the Daly City BART Station.

Pagmanua has been charged with felony hit and run, destruction of evidence, and driving without a license.  He remains in custody.
